Antonia Nelson

Antonia Nelson (violin) performs regularly with The Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, Musica Sequenza, Norwalk Symphony Orchestra, Morningside Opera, Monmouth Civic Chorus & Blue Hill Troupe.  She has recorded for Broadway composers and she can be heard in TV ads as well as film.  She has participated in the Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute, Vancouver Early Music Festival and Amherst Early Music Festival and has worked with teachers Marc Destrubé, Julie Andrijeski, and studies regularly with Cynthia Roberts.  Antonia is the founder of SIREN Baroque, a New York City based chamber ensemble that stages vibrant, thought-provoking programs of early chamber and vocal music and  brings passionate and historically informed performances to concert halls, art galleries, and cafes throughout New York and beyond.  In addition to SIREN, Antonia founded Anthology Strings, a string quartet specializing in commercial work and private events.  It was awarded 2011 Best of New York Party Music in the Knot.com.  Antonia received her undergraduate degree from The University of Georgia and Masters from New York University.
